We can help make our school surroundings and our hostel more Cleaner, Greener and Beautiful to live in by imbibing Swachhata, i.e. cleanliness in our day-to-day activities.
The best way to prevent COVID-19 is to avoid being exposed to the virus that causes COVID-19, which is thought to spread mainly from person to person. Another key preventive action you can take is to regularly clean hands. One of the most important steps a person can take to avoid getting sick is to wash hands with soap and water at key times or to use a hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not readily available. As much as 21% of respiratory illnesses, such as colds, can be prevented by hand washing. Additionally, school-based programs promoting hand washing and hand hygiene can result in less gastrointestinal and respiratory illnesses and fewer missed school days.
As a means of spreading cleanliness awareness, Swachhata Pakhwada's Hand wash Day was held on the 8th and 9th of September 2021
The 13th of September 2021 was a day dedicated to writing postcards for students from classes VI to X. Students were extremely passionate during the event. This project topic was swachhata abhiyaan, and the students were expected to send a postcard to the PM of the nation outlining how their work contributes towards swachhat, their commitment to make this happen in future. We learnt from the students in their post cards about the difficulties they encounter in a residential school and how they can overcome them now that they are aware of these.
In the morning, all the students from classes VI to X planted trees as part of the Swachh School Green school drive. Firstly, the students were told about the advantages of planting trees and how they have an impact on our surroundings. The plants like lily, Neem, Tulsi etc. have been planted in the school garden area. Students were very excited for this event and learnt about the species of all the plants they had planted. They promised the teachers that they will protect these plants and nurture them.
Our school organizes an Anti-cracker campaign annually before the festival of Diwali. The members of Eco club take part in this activity in order to inform students and staff not to use crackers that pollute the environment. To keep the environment healthy and green, our students have pledged to refrain from using harmful crackers.
ECO-CLUB EXHIBITION ON CLEAN SURROUNDING was born and implemented by the VAGAD PACE GLOBAL SCHOOL as an environmental enlightenment campaign initiative. Program was created in order to fulfill one of the core missions of the School, which is to promote environmental awareness as well as to educate our school children about the immediate environmental challenges we face and how our unhealthy habits contribute to these challenges. As a result of the exhibition, we are now more aware of the importance of planting trees, thus making the world a better place. The Eco Club members of the school are also involved in waste-recycling management, such as cleaning the school streets and collecting plastic. Eco Club encourages the students to clean their school. Cleaning includes organic composting and taking care of classrooms.
The student’s plant different types of trees on the campus, and on the day of exhibition, they showcase the fruits of their labor. Several of our students display their plant samplings, and our P-rincipal was personally there to give feedback and motivate them.
A clean environment is a pleasure to live in. It is the duty of all to keep the environment clean and healthy. This responsibility for environmental cleanliness is highlighted by the observation of National Cleanliness Day on January 30th in India. The day calls to maintain high standards of cleanliness in Vagad Pace Global School. Sanitation campaigns are held by students. Cleaning with, detergent and water removes germs, dirt, and impurities from surfaces or objects. Disinfecting kills germs on surfaces or objects by using chemicals.
